Tour Plan
Morning light-aircraft flight (~1h30). Meet your guide at the airstrip and enjoy a game drive transfer to your riverside camp. After lunch and a short siesta, head out on a relaxed boat safari along the Rufiji River to see hippos, crocodiles and prolific birdlife. Sundowners on the water. Dinner and overnight at a comfortable tented camp.
After an early breakfast, venture into Miombo woodlands and open plains for a full-day 4x4 safari (or two extended game drives). Target species include elephants, giraffes, buffalo, lion prides and, if lucky, African wild dogs. Picnic lunch in a shaded spot. Return late afternoon for campfire stories and dinner.
Guided nature walk at first light with an armed ranger to learn tracks and smaller life. Brunch at camp, then transfer to the airstrip for the late-morning flight to Zanzibar. Onward beach drop-off.
